05:01
View full lesson: http://ed.ted.com/lessons/are-ghost-ships-real-peter-b-campbell Please note: we are currently working on a fix for an error spotted in the video. The error relates to the behavior of the water filling the hole in the Mary Celeste's hull. The water would reach equilibrium with the outside water level, not cease filling at the hole. We thank you for your patience as we work on a fix. In 1884, the British steamer “Rumney” crashed into the French ship “Frigorifique.” Seeing their ship filling with water, the French crew climbed aboard the “Rumney.” But as they sailed towards port, a silent form emerged from the fog – the abandoned “Frigorifique,” seemingly back for revenge. So what happened? Peter B. Campbell investigates the fascinating phenomenon of ghost ships. Lesson by Peter B. Campbell, animation by Zedem Media.

Real Doctor Reacts to CHICAGO MED | Medical Drama Review | Doctor Mike

13:12
Next up on the medical drama review series is Chicago Med. I know that the series has multiple shows airing simultaneously like Chicago p.d. and Chicago fire, so this gave me hope that the Chicago Med will be pretty good since they have experience in making these types of shows. Chicago Med is surprisingly fresh. It had all the attributes of a quality medical drama. Unique medical conditions that inherently bring drama to the screen. Solid actors and actresses. Good character development, without that much romantic drama. Although I'm sure it will come in the later episodes (please correct me if I'm wrong). This show pleasantly surprised me and left me wanting to watch another episode. Basically, the question I am answering in this description is how accurate is Chicago Med. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this episode of Real Doctor Watches Chicago Med / Real Doctor Reacts to Chicago Med . Real Doctor Reacts to SCRUBS | Medical Drama Review | Doctor Mike

12:01
This is the one you've all been asking for. Scrubs. Ever since I started my medical training in 2007 all of my friends have been telling me that I MUST watch the TV show Scrubs but for some reason, I was always a little hesitant to start it. Maybe because I looked at medicine as a serious field, it didn't make sense to watch a comedy about it. Well, now I am taking your advice and watching the first episode ever of the medical drama. Although I think this show is less of a medical drama is more of a medical comedy or satire. I can see why many medical professionals enjoy this show because working many hours in the hospital system can leave you feeling frustrated at times, Now, as far as my opinion goes I have to be honest. This show is not as appealing to me as it is for most of my friends. I feel like they take easy shots at medicine and exaggerate a lot for the sake of humor (especially Zach Braff ) Not sure why, but the humor didn't land for me that often. I also think I would probably need to watch a few more episodes as the pilot is rarely the best one. Also, Zach Braff irritates me just a little a bit in his acting. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this episode of Real Doctor Watches Scrubs / Real Doctor Reacts to Scrubs. Doctor Reacts to HOUSE M.D #2. | "Three Stories" | Medical Drama Review

17:21
I know how much you guys love Dr. Gregory House, so I decided to dig through the comments sections and find out which episode you wanted me to watch. The episode "three stories" kept popping up with a lot of upvotes. I didn't get any background behind the story of the episode and I just sat down and watched it. Now I didn't know it was going to be such a complicated episode to review as it bounced back and forth between three situations. So to simplify we decided to completely remove one of the three patient simulations as we felt it didn't add much to the story and just made it. more complicated for you to follow. I wish I knew this was the episode that went on to explain what is wrong with House's leg because then maybe I would've saved it for a later review. But I guess its good for me to know for further episodes anyway. I will say this about Dr. House. I think he is a kind guy that comes off brash almost on purpose to be a better doctor. You can totally sense throughout the episodes that I've watched that he is still angry for his decision made in this episode. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this episode of Real Doctor Watches House MD / Real Doctor Reacts to House MD . If you want me to continue making this doctor reaction video please give it a like and leave me a comment on which tv drama or show you'd like for me to review next. Love you all! My Thoughts On Vaping + ASMR | Responding to Your Comments | Doctor Mike

12:51
**Update** As you can probably tell I answer these questions completely relying on my knowledge and we don’t do extra takes. In the Vaping question I mistakenly said it’s Propylene Glycol that causes popcorn lung, when it is actually diacetyl (found in some flavorings). I will constantly try to improve my knowledge and give you the most honest, evidence based medicine info. Thanks for watching, love you all! We are back at it responding to your comments and questions via this monthly video series. I love reading and responding to your comments and as you can tell I'll jump into the comments section with a reply or a heart quite often. A couple favorite questions/comments from this video are 1) Why do men have nipples? 2) Why do doctors smoke? 3) What are the health effects of vaping aka what are my thoughts on vaping ? 4) What medical procedure makes me nauseous? 5) Is pimping easy? 6) Do I have doctor's handwriting? 7) Can doctors prescribe themselves medications? 8) My thought on makeup 9) Will I ever make an ASMR video? Doctors are traditionally unreachable and I want to change that. So hop into this video’s and any other of my video’s comment section and ask dr mike! I want to see your username pop up on my next responding to comments video. If you have an idea of something you want me to cover in depth, please let me know because I take your requests seriously. We will be back with more Medical Drama Review Series in a couple of weeks so please submit more names of shows/episodes you'd like for me to watch. Thank you :) I made this video because I never had 'the talk' and instead "learned" everything about sex through the Internet and society as a whole. In short: I had a pretty unhealthy and ill-informed understanding of sex, sexualities and sexism. I also look at my audience and see a lot of young adults and teenagers who, much like I was, are in need of a little education. When a third of women are sexually assaulted in their lifetimes it means at least 1 in every 9 of my subscribers will face sexual abuse at some point. I simply don't feel comfortable just ignoring a statistic like that when I potentially have the ability to inform people at potentially stop even ONE instance of sexual assault, rape, bullying, unwanted pregnancy, shame and overall ignorance.
