Montezuma Mine - Arizona - 2016

06:34
Website: https://www.goldrushexpeditions.com/ Mining Claims for Sale: http://goldrushexpeditions.com/fb-mining-claims-for-sale/ Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/GoldRushExpedinc/ Just north of the famous Sunshine mine in a remote canyon, the Montezuma claim encompasses a group of adits and shafts exploring gold and silver deposits in the canyon. The mines have limited history that is well out of date. Our surveyors documented shafts, adits and some rather extensive workings which are not noted in any reports. The mines existed around a good sized mining camp on several levels of the valley. These camps were no doubt built for safety and security for the working miners as Native American attacks were a very real danger up into the early 1900s.

Gold, Silver & Slaves (Britain's Slave Trade Documentary) | Timeline

49:27
Check out our new website for more incredible history documentaries: HD and ad-free. http://bit.ly/2O6zUsK Gold, Silver & Slaves looks at how the business of slavery was a case of slave-trading by complicit Africans, fuelled by the greed of African kings. This is the untold story of the greatest slaving nation in history. Up till now, Britain’s place in the history of slavery has been as the country that abolished the international slave trade. Britain’s Slave Trade reveals the shameful truth behind this liberal facade, showing how the economic, social and cultural life of Britain would have been unrecognisable without slavery. Britain’s Slave Trade explains how a middling European power transformed itself into the ruler of the waves, tracing the impact this had on the British way of life and taking in the Industrial Revolution, the beginnings of Empire and the birth of modern racism along the way. It also unearths startling evidence showing how many families that think of themselves as ‘pure’ English stock are in fact descended from slave ancestors. Meet Sarah Legrand, founder of K'Tsobe

05:13
K'Tsobe is a brand of timeless jewellery , made from a fusion of natural material (seeds, wood, horn) and noble (silver, gold ..) but also brass, bronze, enamel .. After a great experience in modelling, Sarah Legrand returned back to her childhood dream and trained in jewellery at “Art et Métiers institute” in Brussels. Through these exciting studies she created her own brand "K'TSOBE", a wink to my mother clan “ ABATSOBE” who were the guardians of the seeds and the esoteric code of Rwanda. Carlyle Mine Exploration

08:04
We spent the day hiking to and exploring several of the adits at the Carlyle Mine in the Pinto Mountains. The Carlyle Mine is rather extensive. Some tunnels are quite elaborate with multiple levels while others are more limited in scope. Remnants of an old tram can be found on the mountain, and one tram tower is still standing in good condition.

Erickson Gold Mining Claim - Colorado - 2017

02:10
The Erickson mine was discovered in 1880 when the price of silver was still supported by the US government. The mine was abandoned in the 1890s when the price of silver drastically fell. The mine reopened several times since then, with the intent to mine for gold. Today the mines will need extensive rehabilitation. The entrances will need to be dug out and supported and there are several collapsed structures on the claim. Surveyors report large amounts of visible gold found in the discarded ores. It would be smart to start working the existing ore dumps before working the veins underground.

Exploring the Emancipation Mine

20:02
The former Emancipation mine is located 1 kilometre west of the Coquihalla River, between Fifteen Mile and Ladner creeks. Hope located approximately 15 kilometres to the southwest. The Emancipation mine was developed by five adits (adits 1-4 and A) concentrated along a series of gold-bearing quartz ±carbonate veins that cut the Spider Peak Formation. These veins were the principal ore source of the mine. However, two of the lower workings (adits 3 and 4) were driven on a talc-bearing zone within the Hozameen fault that was apparently barren. In 1933, a drift on the No. 4 level intersected a 3.35-metre wide vein directly beneath the ore zone in the No. 2 winze. The central part contained abundant sulphides and a chip sample across 2.44 metres yielded 13.71 grams per tonne gold and 3.43 grams per tonne silver (Assessment Report 23492). A picked sample from the face yielded 72.68 grams per tonne gold (Assessment Report 23492). There are essentially three sets of quartz± carbonate veins at the mine. These include the Boulder vein and the Dike vein, separated by a set of irregular, reverse- dipping, flat veins. Both the Dike and Boulder veins typically follow reverse fractures and vary markedly in attitude and character along strike and with depth. The flat veins apparently follow second order sigmoidal tension fractures. On the surface, close to adit 2, the Boulder vein strikes north and follows the faulted contact between the Spider Creek Formation and the Ladner Group. Farther north, the vein system splays, swings to a northeasterly strike and is locally hosted entirely within Ladner rocks. It is the widest vein on the property, varying between 0.5 and 4.6 metres in width, and dipping from 50 to 65 degrees west. It contains mainly milky to clear massive quartz, and minor amounts of calcite. The vein carries sporadic traces of disseminated pyrite, arsenopyrite and chalcopyrite, but little or no gold. Locally, the margins of the Boulder vein grade outward into brecciated zones up to 3 metres wide. These comprise fragments of Ladner rock with disseminated sulphides set in a vein matrix that contains minor to trace amounts of albite, calcite, dolomite, siderite, gypsum, pyrrhotite and marcasite. Surface drilling north of the Emancipation mine was conducted to delineate geological contacts, structures, quartz veins and mineralization. The drill holes intersected similar structures and rock types as were intersected during underground drilling. This drilling was favourable for sulphide replacement zones but no significant altered or mineralized zones were found. In 1910, the construction of the Kettle Valley railway opened the area to prospecting and mineral exploration; this led to the discovery and staking of the Emancipation claim in 1913. Intermittent production occurred at the Emancipation gold mine between 1916 and 1941. By 1921, a considerable amount of underground development work had been carried out and a 5-stamp mill installed with a 4.53 tonne per day capacity. The operator at this time was Liberator Mining Co. Between 1922 and 1933 ownership changed hands several times, with Dawson Gold Mines Ltd. as the main operator. Kettle Valley Gold Mine Ltd. conducted limited work in 1937. The mill operated at 22.68 tonnes per day with ore mined from the No. 2 level. In 1971, Aquarius Resources Ltd. restaked the Emancipation as the Hope claim group and renewed exploration on the property. In 1972, the underground workings were surveyed, mapped and sampled. Surface geological mapping was carried out in 1973. From 1974 to 1976, an extensive surface exploration was carried out under the supervision of Cochrane Consultants Ltd. In 1980, an all-weather road was constructed and further underground mapping and sampling was carried out. A surface and underground drilling program was carried out in 1981 by Aquarius Resources Ltd. Underground drilling consisted of 31 drill holes, totalling 1177 metres. Surface drilling consisted of 10 drill holes, totalling 901 metres. In 1991 and 1992, Homegold Resources, under option from Anglo Swiss Mining, conducted considerable underground refurbishing on the No. 3 and 4 levels. Three underground drill holes were completed, totalling 81.38 metres. During 1994 through 2001, Homegold Resources completed programs of geological mapping and prospecting. In 2008, Module Resources prospected the area. The Emancipation gold mine was active between 1916 and 1941, producing 18,818 grams of silver, 90,104 grams of gold, 61 kilograms of lead and 85 kilograms of zinc from a total of 1158 tonnes mined.
Exploring the Abandoned Cheeney Creek Mine

02:48
Hey everybody I hope you enjoy the video. This was more of a prospect than an actual mine. It probably produced a very small amount of gold but not enough to keep the mine going. It is one of few mines in the area, and the others are in unknown locations. There is very limited information about this area's mining history, but apparently this prospect was created by the Northern Light Mining CO. in the early 1900's. This mine is located in Clackamas County, Oregon. It's on public land so feel free to come check it out! Intro music is by Pretty Lights

Matt Zabloski: Fund Manager on Asset Based Investing in the Mining Sector

14:40
Delbrook’s approach is bottoms up asset based investing - that is investing in top quality assets that the market has misplaced. Delbrook has a strong technical team with a great level of experience and they focus on companies with a large gap between intrinsic value versus market value. Matt believes that the $8 trillion of sovereign debt and negative yields will provide a good push into the precious metals sector. Delbrook looks for quality over quantity and facts rather than a good story. Because the market in precious metals has been so driven down, even a small amount of institutional investment will cause large increases in share prices. Shareholder activism while not yet needed, remains an option for when company direction is not going in a direction favourable to shareholders. Talking points from this week’s interview: • The recovery is in it’s first inning • Shareholder activism remains an option to add value to a stock • IDM Mining is a substantially undervalued stock • Share dilution is still a factor to watch for many stocks

Geoff Hampson: Building a Mid Tier Gold Mining Company

29:53
To subscribe to our newsletter and get notified of new shows, please visit http://palisaderadio.com Geoff discusses how he got involved with Para Resources while looking for opportunities. He builds companies with excellent management teams. Their strategy is to search for properties with good historical potential and an already permitted mine. They found two such properties. They own two, the El Limon mine in Columbia and the Gold Road Mine in Arizona. He says, “You make your money when you buy, not when you sell.” Their El Limon mine located in Columbia is in an area that has been mined continuously for the past 150 years at 10-12g/ton. They have been upgrading the plant to increase production to the daily permitted amount of 400 tons (1500-1800oz) per month. The region is unique in that they work with local surface artisanal miners who have been mining illegally. With the Columbian government's assistance, they have been able to get many of these miners licensed. Part of this agreement is that they must sell the ore to the mine an arrangement that has been working well and brings many benefits to the local economy. They remain focused on mining underground and additional exploration to confirm the previous owner's results. Their Gold Road Mine in Arizona is in a historic mining region and they are looking into expanding the resource base before restarting the mine. The plant only needs minor maintenance. They have accumulated several mining claims around their main property. Excellent grades (24g avg/ton) were mined prior to shutdowns due to the war effort in 1942.

Exploring the Wayside Mine

22:38
The Wayside mine is located on the north side of Carpenter Lake at latitude 50° 52' 30", longitude 122° 49' 40", 3.2 kilometres north of Gold Bridge (Figure 9a). Access to the property is by bush roads that connect directly to Highway 40 and the Gun Lake road. The property and mine site was visited repeatedly by the writer and crew between 1986 and 1988. The geology of the property was done together with a magnetometer survey and logging of 20 drill cores provided by Chevron Minerals Limited. The history of the Wayside property has been outlined by Cairnes (1937), Kelly (1972) and McAllister et al. (1988). Details of the periods of active exploration and development from 1906 to 1937, 1946 to 1953 and 1971 to 1988 are given in the Minister of Mines Annual Reports and subsequent government publications such as Exploration in British Columbia. The property was first staked by J.C. Patterson in 1900. The original claim group, comprising the Wayside, Argon, Radium, Helium and Queen City Fraction, was sold to O. Fergusson and C. Walker six years later. By 1910 three adits had been driven on the Wayside vein system and a sample of pyrite-enriched quartz ore was shipped by pack-train for testing. D.C. Paxton then acquired the property and a small mill was in operation by 1915. From 1917 to 1922 there are no reports of activity and the property passed to Messrs. Fergusson and Walker in 1924. This led to a program of sampling and geological mapping and the property was transferred to Wayside Consolidated Gold Mines Limited in 1928. By 1933 complete camp facilities were installed, including a hydro-electric plant; the Wayside vein system had been exposed on five levels in 300 metres of tunnelling over a vertical interval of 150 metres. Production in 1915 and from 1934 to 1937, totalled 39,109 tonnes, yielding 166.1 kilograms of gold and 26.1 kilograms of silver (MINFILE 092JNE030). From the end of operations in 1937 until recently only a small amount of exploration work was done, mainly by the L.A.P. Mining Company Limited (1946 to 1953) and the Ace Mining Company Limited (after 1959). In 1947 the mine was dewatered and rehabilitated with the addition of hoisting equipment 900 tonnes of ore were produced for metallurgical testing. A fire at the mine in 1953 curtailed further curtailed further development. In 1971 Dawson Range Mines Limited (Carpenter Lake Resources Limited) acquired the property and in the following four years completed a number of programs including geological and geophysical surveys, underground rehabilitation, sampling, and diamond drilling (2344 metres in 1980). This led to the discovery of the 'New Discovery' and 'Commodore' zones and the '3T' vein. In 1984 the property was optioned to Amazon Petroleum Corporation Limited and many targets were retested by diamond drilling (1829 metres in 1984; 2438 metres in 1985). Early in 1987, Amazon Petroleum Inc. and Carpenter Lake Resources Limited optioned the property to Chevron Canada Resources Limited. This began renewed exploration activity on the property based on similarities in geological setting, morphology and mineralization between the Wayside mine and the gold-quartz veins at Bralorne, 15 kilometres to the south. A total of 21 diamond drill-holes (3006 metres) were completed in Chevron's 1987-88 program to locate faulted segments of the Wayside veins and similar mineralization. Work in 1992 by Wayside Gold Mines Ltd. and Brigadier Resources Limited, in a 50/50 partnership relationship, included dewatering of the lower levels of the Wayside mine and resampling the main vein and Notman vein systems. They drilled 31 underground holes in 1993. Wayside Gold Mines Ltd. became International Wayside Gold Mines Ltd. in 1994.

Patrick Henry Private Varnish in Cerrillos, NM 4K

02:39
http://www.yardlimitproductions.com/digital.html The village of Los Cerrillos was first established as a tent camp between the lead and silver mines of the Carbonateville to the north and the coal mining camp of Madrid and the gold mines of the Placer and Ortiz Mountains to the south. Los Cerrillos flourished as a natural access point between the two areas; however, it really began to grow with the arrival of the railroad in 1880. The town was laid out by the Santa Fe Railroad in 1880 and the same year, a post office was established. Two years later the mining camp became an official city, when the railroad siding was built, the town held its first election, and the first permanent home was completed. The mineral boom of the Cerrillos Hills peaked in the mid-1880’s when miners were extracting gold, silver, lead, zinc and turquoise from their crusty depths. At this time there were some 3,000 prospectors working the area hills and in the leisure time supported some 21 saloons, five brothels, four hotels, and several newspapers in the city. The town became so well known that it was seriously considered for the capitol of New Mexico. After Cerrillos’ peak mineral production in the 1880’s coal mining began to take over as the mainstay of the economy in the area. In 1899, it was reported New Mexico’s production of turquoise was valued at $1,600,000, most of it coming from the Cerrillos Hills. Just a few of the area mines survived into the 20th century, the biggest of which was the American Turquoise Company, a subsidiary of Tiffany’s of New York on the north side of the Cerrillos. When World War I commenced, several of the lead mining operations were reopened, including the Cash Entry and the Tom Paine mines. However, by the time the depression began in 1929, all large company mining was ceased. Today, some small private mines continue to be worked by hobbyists, but the majority of turquoise mined in New Mexico still comes from these beautiful hills. Today, the charming, tree-shaded town of Los Cerrillos is officially a “ghost town,” though many residents continue to live there and the town thrives as a Santa Fe day trip destination. On some days, these dusty streets are filled with traffic much like they were more than a century ago. The washboard dirt roads of Los Cerrillos and the remaining buildings on its old Front Street look much like a movie set, and in fact have been used as in some 13 movies. The films The Nine Lives of Elfego Baca , Young Guns, Young Guns II, and Vampires were made there, as well as John Wayne’s 1972 movie, The Cowboys, filmed just north of the town. Warren R. Henry Dome/Observation & Fine Dining Built in 1955 for the Union Pacific Railroad, the dome car features panoramic viewing upstairs, a formal dining room or boardroom for meetings and a beautifully appointed lower level lounge with satellite TV, DVD, and CD player. Cab Video of the Final Days of the Wisconsin Central. Oshkosh, WI to Stevens Point, WI

11:47
This is Hi8 video shot in late 2003 or early 2004. I was the engineer running train 407 Northward on the Neenah Subdivision, but I don't know what our engine number was. I'm thinking it was probably one of the WC 6000-(Former Algoma Central) series (SD-40, SD40-2) but I don't know for sure. I don't think it was an SD-45 because of the bell placement (annoyingly placed right above the cab-which didn't work half of the time!). This video starts out in Oshkosh, going over the old C&NW draw bridge in Oshkosh (which has now been replaced with a beautiful bascule bridge that allows 40 mph track speed) and shows the remains of a derailment just south of Dale, Wisconsin both on the Northward and Southward legs of our trip.

Peter Spina: Political and Market Uncertainty Is Driving The Rush For Gold

18:31
Peter explains the recent market action and how gold stocks have historically lead the spot price. There is considerable support near $1100, and long term resistance at $1275. This level may well translate into resistance to the upside, once through it though, expect $1475 to $1500. He is seeing growing Wall Street and Chinese speculation in the market, there seems to be a general rush for gold. The markets in recent years have been rough for a lot of mining companies, however many have managed to hold on. Mr. Spina discusses the need to be cautious with many companies as there may not be much behind them and what to watch for. There is considerable under investment in miners and thus limited capital for exploration and resource discoveries. He thinks exploration companies with lots of prospects are going to draw considerable interest in the coming cycle by investors. Peter discusses the ongoing political and economic challenges in the United States and the European Union and how gold is looking quite promising in contrast. Trump is likely going to push for a weak dollar policy and increased deficit spending. There is also a discussion about the risk of capital controls and how diversifying your assets outside of your home country is highly recommended. Peter discusses the recent Goldcorp investment announcement of one hundred million dollars, how it is a smart move for them to replenish reserves. He highlights several promising Junior mining picks in Canada, Chile and the United States including Northern Vertex Mining, (TSX-V:NEE). Mining in the United States under Trump has recently become a lot more interesting, as a declining US dollar could improve production costs. FFXIV 2.57 0614 Goldsmith 1-50 (Powerlevel Guide)

40:20
In this episode I power level Goldsmith from 1 to 50. Please read the very detailed description below the video for all the details of how I did it. If any of the leve's below are not available to you, it means you need to go to the turn in town and unlock leve quests there first. New Level 50 Crafting Progression Guide: http://youtu.be/TNRDpT94AlQ I use Mithrie's level 50 Goldsmith and also get help from friends in my free company to make all the required items for the Levequests level 1-50 below. This method relies completely on High Quality (HQ) quest turn in's to be effective as it offers a 100% experience bonus when applied. Any level 50 Alchemist should be able to help you craft all required HQ items. I also used about 70-80 Levequest allowances to finish my alt to level 50 Goldsmith. You can use http://www.ffxivcrafting.com to help you make shopping lists of crafting materials required for multiple items.
