Amazing beers love the place, friendly, welcoming, great staff. The staple beers ie Haze, Glimmer and SRM surpass some of the beers I have quaffed in West Coast 'Temples' and the one off experimental brews have been astounding (let's have more Go Johnnie Go or even that hippy J ) This is Craft Beer !

Just found your channel, great stuff. Have subscribed in the hope of discovering more beers like Deya's! Tried Into the Haze in York - best beer I've ever had.
Welcome to the channel! If you loved DEYA then the next steps are Cloudwater, Verdant and Lervig who all make similar, equally brilliant hazy IPAs.

Great interview. Theo comes across as the best of beer geeks - nothing pretentious, just a real dedication to/love of the craft.
Absolutely. No fuss to him - science and dedication with huge passion has resulted in some magical beer!

This is a great channel, like the interviews and brewery visits! Ever had a craft beer from the Netherlands? We shoot short videos ourselves about Dutch craft breweries, you might like our channel. Happy to subscribe to your channel guys, cheers!

That's good to hear :) We haven't shot a video yet at these three breweries, but are in contact already with them. There are many more great breweries in Holland nowadays though, may our channel inspire you ;) Thanks for the sub, you've also got a new subscriber.
Oh boy have we! Joppen, De Molen, Kompaan all make fantastic beers. Subscribed!

went there two weeks ago to get Into The Haze in can. They're quickly becoming one of my favourite breweries. Great vid by the way
+ljyearwood9 Cheers! And yeah us too - such great beer and a bright future.

Huge respect for dumping beer because it doesn't meet the brewers' standards! Love seeing brewers who take pride in their work and are more worried about the quality than their bottom line.
this is true, but these kinds of beer are dumped because they are probably quite muted and underwhelming rather than challenging and divisive!
themeatnpotatoes (1 year ago)
Wreckage Brewing Co playing the devils advocate, because taste is subjective, that might have been someone's holy grail of beer. I've had plenty of beers I think are amazing and a friend thinks it's horrible, and vice versa. Food for thought

Fantastic video. Pretty fascinating to see the way beer styles make their way around the world. I'm on the NE IPA/Pale kick myself and it's great to see all these breweries jumping in to give their own twist on the style. Cheers from across the pond!
+Jeff J cheers Jeff! So glad this style has spread. It's brought new life to the IPA!

Met Theo at RealAle last week. Great guy, incredible beer. Steady Rolling and Into Haze are 10/10 beers.
They certainly are. Kuda, the stout, was ace too.

I challenge DEYA to make a beer called "Purple Haze". And, it should be purple, mais oui.
well then we look forward to not one but TWO cease and desist letters...
miamihurrienas (1 year ago)
Abita in the states has a beer called purple haze.
Well that sounds like a CBC/DEYA collab waiting to happen!

Did you try that Ginger Ale advertised on the board? I love ginger beers. Love the one from Grouse.
Stuck to the hops this time! Don't think it's made by DEYA, they stick to the hops too!

Great vid and interview. Really interesting as only just heard of Deya a few months back. And as I'm developing a bit of an obsession with the NE style of hazy IPAs they've really grabbed my attention (along with Verdant). was lucky enough to get my hands on two cans of their Into The Haze and it's a belter, don't think I've ever had a beer with such an amazing mouthfeel never mind the topical flavours. Hoping to try their collaboration Hazemaker that they did with Northern monk and verdant later this week. Wow what a time to be alive 😁.
Yeah DEYA and Verdant are easily the most exciting new hopheads in the UK. Along with brewers like Mills and Little Earth at the other end of the spectrum we're really starting to diversify. Exciting times!

what's with all the yeast secrecy lately? Craftbeer used to be about sharing...
Well Odell's have kept it secret since 1989 most likely! But I think as the industry matures certain processes will be protected which makes sense - I bet they still tell the people they trust though.

Unquantifiable Deliciousness needs to be printed on every can of Deya. Great video, really cool insight into the brewery.
cheers Jake. I agree, great tagline!
