Jonny heads to Mikkeller & Three Floyds' brewpub Warpigs while on assignment in Copenhagen. He drinks Juicy IPAs, eats pulled pork, and probably starts to think 2016 isn't as bad as all... oh jesus Trump. In a new series to show all the exciting things we get up to before our big videos come out (not to mention to plug some serious schedule gaps), welcome to the Beer Log! Just there tonight. Went a bit mad, and had a burger, pickles, ribs and onion rings. The hibiscus saison was a good enough to wash it all down.
sounds like a stellar evening!

Will be there in two weeks, can't wait to check out those beers. Also will be heading up to Brewski's in Helsingborg, Sweden.
Sounds like an awesome trip! Make sure you arrive at Warpigs hungry and thirsty

Heard some great things about Denmark craft beer scene... Jonny is it expensive to eat and drink out?
Living in London did make me feel less ripped off. I pay that all the time!

Yeah, it's ridiculously expensive mate. Warpigs where he's eating there for a large meal and a pint that's actually going to fill you up you're looking at about £25-30.
+sofakingdrunk66 oh boy is it! Very high quality though, even in the touristy bits.

I must say CPH has some of the finest beers and bars but boy, those glasses are meant for water, coke etc. I really don't like beer from those glasses. Beer has no foam at all and loose flavour too. Warpigs is great, but yeah, bartenders are too hipster...
The big wide ones? Yeah they're not ideal for aroma or head retention, but they are satisfying to hold. We loved the staff though - really knowledgeable.

Looks like I need to get my ass to Copenhagen. I'm a huge fan of both Mikkeller (one of my all-time fav beers is Monk's Brew) and Three Floyds, though I don't get as much Floyds where I'm at in the States as I'd like. Also love the idea of the Beer Log vids. Looking forward to seeing more. Cheers!
+Eric Damico cheers Eric! We'll make sure the beer logs keep coming!

Welcome to Copenhagen, now take yourself on a route of happiness. First swing by Ramen to Birú on Nørrebro and get yourself another Mikkeller kick with great Ramen, then walk 5mins and pop into Ølsnedkeren a down to earth and very homey Brewpub, here have some of the brewers IPA's or Saisons, after that another short walk to sober up a bit and you'll find yourself near the Metro (Forum) take this to Nørreport and go down the shopping street for a bit and enjoy the shit going on, end the night at TapHouse and fill up till your heart is singing. Other options are: Fermentoren, Ølbaren, Brus (Trendy as fuck), Ørsted Ølbar or Søernes Ølbar, Black Swan Bar.... or if you want to feel at home swing by Lord Nelson Bar! And by god stay away from the Dubliner and Irish Rover, I feel you might understand this warning.
cheers for the tips!

Great, it's a perfect spot for a quiet afternoon, it can get a bit crowed in the evenings. Hope you have fun in my backyard, check out Brewers Inc it should be open by your next visit.
haha - some top tips there! We're home now but did lots of those. Sadly missed Ølsnedkeren but we'll be back soon anyway!

I've rinsed pretty much every single Craft Beer Channel video this week; first book is ordered; psyched for this mini series and the second book! Keep it up you guys and thanks for the great content!
Jack Glasscock (1 year ago)
Read cover to cover and loved it; can't wait for the second now! Chilling with a Heathen IPA by Northern Monk - single hopped with Citra, huge pineapple juiciness - right up your street!
well thanks for rinsing all the content! Hope it's getting better as we go!

In the same area is Mother, great pizza and not as expensive as the rest of CPH
we heard great things but were too stuffed from BBQ!
