Hey Darrel, thanks for the video. I download the divi footer file but for some reason, I cannot upload it to the test site that I'm building. I use both ways that you show in the video and I'm getting the same error. I even saw that the naming of the footer file in your video wasn't the same as the one in the download (spacing and lack of (1) in the downloaded file) Is there anything that I need to do, or is the footer file corrupt? Thanks for any help.
Thank you so much for these informative videos, as someone who is green to wordpress I very grateful to have experts out there like you!
Question: I would like to have a blog that has ads on it to create ad revenue, as well as have a business website that sells my products which I would like to have the clean feel of sakara.com should these be the same website with different pages or two different urls (i do not want ads on the landing page or product pages)? For continuity Id like them both to look alike so I am curious which theme will be best for me Divi or Flatsome?
in the future I will also be selling digital downloads.
Thank you so much in advance for your help!
I downloaded themes from your website and am super excited to use them!
I tried installing the themes and am getting a "CSS Style Code" missing.
Can you help me fix it? Or direct me what to do?
ps: I downloaded the Elegance Layout and Divig Coding School Layout. Also watched your course on Udemy
Just watched the whole nearly 3 hour lesson over a few days, great to brush up on what I missed when I taught myself the basics. I now understand how it all works. thanks Darrel. Highly recommend to watch this.. Templates are fine but to know how to really edit something for yourself is good..
The great effort resulted in a very great job, the video is long, rich of info, but honestly, they didn't feel like 3 hours, the time passed very smoothly, my respect and appreciation will never be enough
Why go there all the details of information of adding text to the website without adding Logo, why not work from the top down? or when are you working on Menu add the Logo then? Otherwise Great Tutorial.
*_BA >> _**_oportunity.businesshub.pro_**_ is the best business decision I've made. It has all the tools you need to run a successful business, plus more for under $30! That's not a typo. I would pay the fee just to have access to the people in the group and Alex and Erick's mentoring. This company listens to what us and then takes action and creates it or fixes it if there is a bug. The app creator and Facebook Leads Capture are my latest favorite tools! Wow... I can have fun, make money, help others and have approachable and ethical leaders that care!_*
Hi Darrel! Phew I finally got through the whole video as I have had to intersperse it through a busy business. Thanks for the excellent tutorial and I have subscribed and joined your WP group. One question - I have purchased the Divi theme and want to change my present WP sites over to Divi. There are three "panels" offered by Divi ("Build from Scratch", "Choose a Premade Layout", and "Clone Existing Page"). My qusestion is, would you use the third one, clone existng page, do change an existing WP site? - or have you dne a tutorial on this subject? thanks again, Will
I have a suggestion. Go through stuff more slowly. I have on ONE screen my wordpress site and your video on another screen. Going back and forth between screens takes time as I try and copy what you're doing...but you go so quickly that and i find myself missing what you're doing.
I just watched your video all over again and I have a couple of questions hoping u can help me out. Do we need to have a divi license in order to make changes to a child theme?, also when I go into the wp dashboard theme customizer it doesn’t show me the website next to the menu, is there a reason why that’s happening?
FYI, Divi is not the best page builder. I like Beaver Builder way better, because the following reasons. It is more feature rich without using CSS code than Divi. B.B. is more intuitive in my opinion than Divi. B.B. is fun to use too. As of this writing Divi is playing a catchup game to B.B. I am upset because I took your recommendation that Divi was the best. I played with Divi for one month and a half and I can’t get my money back. I don’t think it’s so great like everyone claims it is.
Hey Darrel, when your talking about the custom headers near the end of the video, when I put in one of the custom headers then try to add a pre made layout it overrides the header and the header disappears, any idea why that is?
Thanks Darrel. I am actually trying on add page. But looks like I do not have the Divi builder plugin installed since I do not have that plugin. Do you have any advise on an alternative to that plugin? Thanks again
Thank you, Darrel, After watching your tutorial i can now say am a web designer, Also i was motivated to create my own youtube channel and demonstrated how to create a website with WordPress. Am loving my new learned skill from you https://youtu.be/U4KnvCeMAig
ha ha I have tried for over 10 years to create a wordpress website but have given up every time. I don't know what it is with wordpress that made them create a website making tool that even here takes just under 3 hours to explain and I guess Darrel really knows his stuff as well!!
When you put Our Services then enlarged SERVICES, the word SERVICES went under 'Our Services'. Mine just pushes Our Services down & will not go behind it. Thanks for any help.
I am almost through the first hour but am in my 3rd hour in my step by step process as I pause/play while doing each step. Thanks for the time you gave putting this together.
Another great tutorial, so i will be coming back to this later, to copy some of the sections : )
BTW, i looked through your tutorials, but didn't find ... how to create a Sign Up Form like the one shown at the bottom of this web page (with the button labeled 'YES! I'M A DIVI LOVER!'): https://divilover.com/slim-divi-optin-form-module-layout/ - Q/. can i get a WordPress widget /plugin to do this, if so please let me know the details. Or if anybody can give me a link to a tutorial that shows how to create it, that will be great. Thanks : )
Hey Darrel. That's hands down the best tutorial I have ever watched. I was pulling my hair out the previous week and with a stroke of luck came across your channel.
Thanks for putting in so much effort, it's honestly better than paid courses on the subject. I hope the affiliate links make it rain down your end.
helpful! Hey, for some reason, I don't seem to have that little floating palette at lower left with the 'wireframe view' and mobile etc options. Anyone know how to make that appear. I seem to be up to date with my Divi and Wordpress as of 01-26-19..
Nice tutorial, you are the best Darrel!
I, ve got 1 big problem tough, as I change the settings in the tablet or phone mode, even if I click and save these new layout first on the tablet or phone tab, it changes my hole website, also in the desktop settings, is there something that is wrong with my settings , or something else?
Thanks for helping me out!
Hey Darrel you're the best of the best!!!
You make everything simple and fun. You get to the point and so honest with your opinion. I am a martial arts instructor as my hobby besides working full time for the government, and I can't afford website that build by professional. But you make it possible for me to do so. I just want to say thank you.
After initially being quite excited about this (I'm new to wordpress) but after a good review of the web and talking to professional developers, they tell me Divi loads your code with short-codes and bloated apps - and these are not good for SEO. Also, if you try to change the site builder down the road, the website breaks. Any comment on this Darrel?
Great video Darrel. My client has a website currently. How would you recommend I build the site separate from their domain and then switch their domain after? Do I just buy a fake domain or can I build a sit using a subdomain like sub.domain.com??
Facilities for business continuity may include alternate workspace equipped for continuation of business operations. Alternate facilities may be owned or contracted including office space, data center, manufacturing and distribution.
Systems for emergency response may include detection, alarm, warning, communications, suppression and pollution control systems. Protection of critical equipment within a data center may include sensors monitoring heat, humidity and attempts to penetrate computer firewalls.
Every building has exit routes so people can evacuate if there is a hazard within the building. These exit routes should be designed and maintained in accordance with applicable regulations.
Business continuity resources may include spare or redundant systems that serve as a backup in case primary systems fail. Systems for crisis communications may include existing voice and data technology for communicating with customers, employees and others.
Equipment includes the means for teams to communicate. Radios, smartphones, wired telephone and pagers may be required to alert team members to respond, to notify public agencies or contractors and to communicate with other team members to manage an incident.
Many tools may be required to prepare a facility for a forecast event such as a hurricane, flooding or severe winter storm.
Materials and Supplies.
Materials and supplies are needed to support members of emergency response, business continuity and crisis communications teams. Food and water are basic provisions.
Systems and equipment needed to support the preparedness program require fuel. Emergency generators and diesel engine driven fire pumps should have a fuel supply that meets national standards or local regulatory requirements. That means not allowing the fuel supply to run low because replenishment may not be possible during an emergency. Spare batteries for portable radios and chargers for smartphones and other communications devices should be available.
