10 ratings | 14182 views
Learn how to set up Microsoft Outlook on the Samsung Galaxy S7 and how to enable/disable SMS sync with email via Madison Mansy & David LaTorra. (Samsung S7 is not originally configured with the Microsoft app. It must first be installed from the play store before it will appear as an option during email account set up.)

This has to be a troll video, there is no way someone would film a phone tutorial like this and actually watch it and go "Hm, looks pretty good, upload it!"

Video was slightly helpful. However, once you create you email through your outlook email, you CAN undo the SMS sync after you create your account. You simply do the following: 1. Select "More" (While looking at your email account) 2. Select "Settings" 3. Select your outlook email account that is receiving SMS messages (It's labeled "Accounts") 4. Scroll down until see the next category labeled "Exchange ActiveSync Settings" 5. You'll then see syn types in the following order: Sync Contacts, Sync Calendar, Sync Task, and Sync Messages." Each of those four will have an "off and on" switch. 6. Select off for the "Sync Messages." After that, your phone will automatically de-sync all of your SMS messages from your outlook email account. I just figured this out after watching this video because I figured there has to be another effective way than to delete your whole account and start over (ensuring not to select the box for Sync SMS messages). I have the Galaxy S7 so it's the same format and all just like the S7 Edge. Hope this helps.

Sebastien Allaire Haha Nice! No problem man! Yeah, I knew there had to be another effective way to get stop sync. Once I figured it out, I decided it would be a good idea to share it with the world instead of downing the folks in the video lol glad it worked out because that sync was a pain!

Jake Roselli Hmmm...really?? That's strange, it should be there. It took me a few times to triple look and I finally found it. Sorry for the late reply, I'm just now seeing your comment. Did you ever find it?

Brandon Jones - after 2 hours of research...your comment solved my issue! Praise God and may God bless you. This video was only useful because it led me to your comments!! Thank you so much. I knew there had to be another way.
