Great tutorials thanks! Is there a way to make the woocommerce membership and subscription work together? What I'm hoping to do is have my blog for members that are on a reoccurring payment. Thanks for any advice you can offer! :D
Tavis Leaf Glover (1 month ago)
Darrel Wilson cool, I’ll have to mess around with them some more. Just downloaded them from another site that is cheap “gplzone.” Thanks for the videos, they helped me out, and saved me $$ 👌🏽
Darrel Wilson (1 month ago)
yeah they do work together! how did this plugin work for you?
Don Simpson (1 month ago)
how can you setup to be able to purchase products and offer a membership on same woocommerce
Darrel Wilson (1 month ago)
depends on the theme, you will need a theme that allows you to add this, i think flatsome should work
Pablo Almeida (1 month ago)
Hey, Darrel! Why you preferred create a "Simple Product" instead of " Simple Subscription" for a membership website? Whats the difference? I'm confused about this and the lenght of membership and recurring cycles... :/
Roderick samuel (2 months ago)
So the subscription plugin is solely for reoccurring payments?
pelle makarna (2 months ago)
Do they give you pluginupdates? Please can you do more complete tutorial with design
pelle makarna (2 months ago)
Great! Do you build a complete membersite first and then you add member pages to restrict content? Otherwise how do you do it with design , menu etc in the membersection? Does woocommere memberships plugin come with pre installed pages like as wocommerce does?
Darrel Wilson (2 months ago)
yeah but you have to download them again manually
pelle makarna (2 months ago)

Hi, how to implement renew membership in woocommerce membership(ex: i have membership plan which will expire on every 31 dec .so how to give the renew option for same ) after 1dec every year. so that they can renew the plan in between dec 1 to dec 31st and it should valid till 31st decembe next year.
S H (3 months ago)
I seem to be missing something. Once the product & membership plan is setup...where is the membership sign up or login page or shortcode?
Darrel Wilson (3 months ago)
you can add the shortcode to any page, or use the login widget. If your theme also has a login form, you can add that, most premium themes have it now
Kerry Townsend (3 months ago)
After ordering, paying and downloading the 'WooCommerce Memberships Plugin' from Woomill.com I attempted to upload and install it. I immediately get the following error message: 'File is empty. Please upload something more substantial. This error could also be caused by uploads being disabled in your php.ini or by post_max_size being defined as smaller than upload_max_filesize in php.ini.' So I've cancelled payment and begin looking for something else to do memberships. Outrageous. Embarassing. I hope you don't make the same mistake I did!
Kerry Townsend (3 months ago)
Tried it twice and got the same empty zip file. I asume by the tone of you little quip that you've not even going to check to see if your offered file is empty? Oh, well. A dollar spent is a dollar lost if I get no value out of it.
Darrel Wilson (3 months ago)
you can always buy it from woocommerce
Muhammad Sharjeel (4 months ago)
what is the difference between just user registration and complete membership website??? I'm totally confused. Can we build membership website BuddyPress? and with Gravity Forms? and Ultimate Member? I mean the difference between BuddyPress and the ultimate member and user registration forms builder like WP forms and Gravity Forms can they form builders provide complete membership options? Sorry but totally confused.

Thanks for the video Darren. But the page restriction setting does not appear to be working for me.
Coflo Ferreira (5 months ago)
same for me. Looks like the product is a sham. No wonder it is $10 vs. the actual woocommerce product for $149
Shayne Billey (6 months ago)
How do you create the "secret-shop" page??? I know how to make the shop page private, but I don't know how to create a secondary shop page for things like memberships??
Ben Jenkins (7 months ago)
I'm always a fan of paying less for anything, but I'm looking at the woomill.com site you refer to with the Membership plugin for $10 and something about it seems fishy. I'm wondering if you can tell me more about the relationship between woomill and woocommerce. I'm reading their site and Woomill seems to be pretty angry/aggressive against WooCommerce for their pricing. I'm assuming WooCommerce doesn't approve of what they are doing. If you can help clarify that would be great. I'm always happy to pay less unless it means undercutting the people supporting the eCommerce ecosystem I'm relying on for my business. The last thing I want is to have WooCommerce have to go under and have to use Magento or Shopify.

hi Darrel, I have purchased the membership plugin, but I have a question here, how do it make the "member area" button on menu? and direct them to register or login? looking forward for your reply. thanks!
Darrel Wilson (8 months ago)
if you go to the menu, you can either find the wocoommerce memberships in it, if its not there, you can create a custom link and link them to the section you want them to go

’m doing a website for a costumer (fitness gym) and I’m looking for a webshop and booking system, that works together. My clients costumers should be able to buy a monthly subscription to my clients’ fitness gym and book all the classes they want within a month (free tickets for instance for a month). But now to the tricky part. Another costumer should also be able to just buy 10 tickets that they can use for evey classes and every time they use a ticket, their account wood count down. Is this possible with this plugins ?
Darrel Wilson (8 months ago)

What if I have someone who is paying any amount until a membership is paid in full. do I select unlimited or manual access? Will subscription be a better way to handle this product type?
Anie Johnson (9 months ago)
I'm not finding any products while creating a membership plan. I have many products created under products tab. can somebody help?
Darrel Wilson (9 months ago)

Any discount code for Memberships Plugin on your site
David Ledesma (10 months ago)
14:20 Confused! :p Hi Darrel, great stuff! You recommend specifically Stripe, but in your next video on ""Subscriptions Plugin" you use Paypal instead. So... which one's better? Or... pros/cons of each? Cheers!
David Ledesma (9 months ago)
I noticed that Woocommerce allows developer to include both Paypal and Stripe at checkout. Any reason why not give customer both options? Thanks!
Darrel Wilson (9 months ago)
i like stripe much better

Anders Brinchmann (11 months ago)
Hi Darrel, had a look at Your tutorial. Great stuff! Im sponsering a sportsclub and the athletes shall be able to purchase me products for at certain prices, not a % of the prices but a flate rate. There membership doesnt cost them anything cause Im sponsering them. I was wondering if the woocommerce membership allows certain members doing this and how? Shall each member have a wordpress user account and shall I then manually create each non paying member in the plan and afterwoods add all products for that plan and set the price? Br Anders
Anders Brinchmann (11 months ago)
Hi Darrel, I may not explain me that good. What im trying is to offer a special price to members that pays a mothly fee and full price to non members for the same product. Think after reviewing the plugin documentation that I found out how to do it - but great tutorial thnak you :-) Br Anders
Darrel Wilson (11 months ago)
im pretty sure you can set a page to be for members only, so you can have your specific products listed on that page, is that what you are trying to do? kind of hard to do this over youtube comments, you may want to hire a guy from freelancer to get some help
Peter Assanful (11 months ago)
Hi Darrel, is there any plugin just to add login , join site without necessarily selling the membership plan?
Javier Vásquez (1 year ago)
It's possible only members can see the prices products??
danielpanatha (1 year ago)
Darrel, does it make sense to use this plugin for wholesale customers, by adding them manually, after they have contacted us via mail for example? Also, is it possible to use dynamic pricing along with memberships plugin, in order to provide dynamic pricing for specific members which have bought a membership plan? Thank you in advance for your time!
MuniekitasWorld (8 months ago)
this is esacly what i want my shopers to be able to see wholesale price for wholesale shopers only what i did not understand is that if you can give % to all the products in the store or only to categories becouse since i have somany products i want to make difrent prices for each can this be well made also can you make a video of the emails they will recive and how to change them to look more personaliza
Darrel Wilson (1 year ago)
you can combine it, its also hard for me to advice because i dont know your site or its goals. but the plugins do stack together
Hassan Khamis (1 year ago)
Thanks, good tut, What is the difference between subscription and membership?
Akporesiri Omene (1 year ago)
also, how did you create the secret shop page? did it come with the plugin or is it automatically created as you create each membership?
Benjamin Duffield (10 months ago)
I just researched this. A way is to add the product to a category e.g. "Plans" category. Then create a page that you only want to display this category on e.g. "Plans" page. Then you can add a Woocommerce category shortcode as per this article https://reallygreenwp.com/tips/displaying-woocommerce-categories/
Akporesiri Omene (1 year ago)
also, does it work with the woo commerce bookings products?
Z. Zul (1 year ago)

Darrel Wilson (1 year ago)

Jo Escolano (1 year ago)
How did you link your products/membership to the "Secret Shop"? I saw you linked it to the category "The Plan" but not to Secret Shop. I did not use Divi so I am not sure if that is a template that you used because it was built in. If so I don't have that option, but there must be a way to link my products to the page.......?
Benjamin Duffield (10 months ago)
I just researched this. A way is to add the product to a category e.g. "Plans" category. Then create a page that you only want to display this category on e.g. "Plans" page. Then you can add a Woocommerce category shortcode as per this article https://reallygreenwp.com/tips/displaying-woocommerce-categories/
Darrel Wilson (1 year ago)
you will need to have a way to display products on a certain page, it really depends on the theme you are using,, there is no template in this tutorial
Akporesiri Omene (1 year ago)
Is the membership a one time payment, or is it recurring payment every month?
Darrel Wilson (1 year ago)
yup, i do explain the subscription part in this tutorial
Jo Escolano (1 year ago)
I think it is a one time payment. If you want a recurring you need to do a subscription. He explained subscription later on in this tutorial.
