If you took the ballast box and made it into a heavy tool box it might help? Attach chainsaw and other tools to make sure you have more with you in the field.
Thanks for watching and the comment +d hamby! Very good idea. I will sometimes transport tools on top of the ballast box but have not committed to anything specifically designed to handle hauling equipment around. Definitely a good idea and will consider it!

anyone who doesn't think a tractor with a loader needs rear ballast, has evidently never had to have any front axle work done. i like ur new ballast box.
Thanks again for watching and the comment +kasey cadence! Our ballast box filled with metal blanks gives us the most weight (approximately 1200 pounds - a lot more than any other implement we own) on the back of the tractor and also provides a lot more maneuverability through the woods when we are working in tight situations. We really debated whether we needed a ballast box or not but this has been one of the most useful items we purchased and hangs out on the back of the tractor while we accomplish all kinds of projects.
