Please Help! My new attribute I created isn't appearing next to the product as a drop down but listing the choices in the additional information tab only. What did I do incorrectly?
just simple but important.thx .
Julo Hair (5 months ago)
Hey thanks for the video! Mine isn't working. I did what you did, but now it's still showing that it's unavailable and out of stock. Also, the drop down never appeared on site. Instead it added all my scent variables under "additional information." They are just listed in a sentence form, not a drop down.

Hi, I would like to know, how can I transfer products from the shop page to the sub-menu I created? Thank you

Thank you so much, now I am able to set this up on my site.
Greg Narayan (5 months ago)
Hi Karen, happy to help setup your site! Let me know any remaining issues as you learn to master wordpress. P.S. I'm creating a testimonials page for our guides and your comment would look great there, would you mind if I featured it?

This is the VERY BEST video I've watched on how to add variable products. The speaker explains everything in a clear voice and does not rush through; the information given was concise. He also brought out a point that explained why my product showed up as being "out of stock," when it wasn't. This is exactly what I was looking for, and I am thrilled because I can now successfully add the variable products to my e-commerce site without a problem! I want to THANK YOU so much for this AWESOME video!!
Greg Narayan (5 months ago)
Happy to help Cathy! :))) Really helps getting positive feedback like yours so from the bottom of my heart, thank you! I know woocommerce gets tricky but sounds like you're really starting to dominate it. Sidenote I was so amazed no one else had covered this topic! You may have inspired me to create more ecommerce website videos :) P.S. I'm creating a testimonials page for our guides and your comment would look great there! Would you mind if I featured it? - Greg

Great thanks, this is really useful for showing variations dropdowns on the single product detail page. Your viewers might also like my tutorial on how to show variation dropdowns on other parts of your store, such as standard pages in WordPress, the main shop and product category pages. Awesome video, thank you. I wonder how we would change the IMAGE for each product. Say you had a 20 variations of a product like color, size, and so on. Instead of having to list 20 images on a single page when they click say BROWN variation on color it would only show the BROWN shirt type of thing instead of the 20 images.

Brainy 'N' Brawny (9 months ago)
Greg - great informative video - thank you for posting! Question: I am creating variables in sizes - for the LIFE of me, I cannot get them to show in the dropdown the way that I am creating them. 18X24, 13X18, 8.5X11... 13X18 ALWAYS shows up first - regardless. Any thoughts on how to fix that? Even dragging them in the admin to reorder them doesn't change it on the page. Very frustrating.

So, I have a word press site and I sell individual one of a kind jewelry pieces. So only one item per product. I offer different types of necklaces and lengths. Like silver or gold or black satin. They are all different prices but the pendant it self has it's own price. For example I have a pendant for sale for $38 it comes with a free black satin cord but if the customer wants a 18 inch silver chain it is and extra $5.00 but if they want a 18 inch gold chain then it would be $8. I tried to follow your video here - it worked but it changed the whole price. UGH! now I don't know how to do this? How do I keep the pendant price but just add the option of necklaces prices?? Please help or make me a video? I have looked at so many videos but none have what I am looking for. Please help

This helped a lot, thanks! However, I am starting a (very) small business, and my products will have some variations. If one version of a product is sold out, how to I set that one specific product to "out of stock"?

I am building a health food site and they sell seasonings. When you by more than one seasoning the price drops. Is there a where of putting a drop down section with the different prices with woo commerce? Lets say 1 jar is $15.00 2 jar is $27 3 jars is $40.00 can we do that? Also, I dont what them to add the number to the cart if the dropdown menu already has 4 Jars for $40.00 Hope this makes sense

Hi There, Great tutorial. I have way more than 50 variations any idea how I can add them all. Basically, I need the products to be listed Eg. Product Name: Female Fragrances, The the Attributes: 1.) Frangrances eg 212, DKNY etc and 2.) Size: eg 5ml, 10ml, 50ml etc. All the images are the same per product? Any suggestions?
Kristen Swangin (2 years ago)
Thanks so much for this! I have a small issue. When choosing my variations, some of which are a yes/no, the price changes when yes is chosen, but the box still shows no as the choice. Any ideas on how to fix that? Thanks again!
Percy Voorhies (2 years ago)
Thanks for the video. I was having a problem trying to figure out how to create my ala cart menu for my consumer. ten proteins to choose from each protein comes with a choice of 2 sides out of 14. I didnt figure out how to give these sides away free but ill just create two variations one starch and one vegetable and have the customer pick. It seems to be the best solution other than have a custom built php to function how i need.

Barney's Biscuit Boxes (2 years ago)
Hey Greg, Is it possible to add another layer of drop down menus in Woocommerce? For example, your donuts in the above video, say you sell a mini size and a large size. When customers select Strawberry Coconut, they they have a drop down for size of donut. Is this possible and if so how is it done? Thx
Ridge Rees (2 years ago)
+Greg Narayan Any chance you have done a new post explaining how to do multiple attributes. I have 50 variables for each state (different price points for each state) but also have different additional "add-ons" that should exist in a second drop down, also altering price. Thanks!
Barney's Biscuit Boxes (2 years ago)
Hey Greg, Look forward to seeing that. Your tutorials are very helpful. Do you know how to employ 'conditional selection' or can that only be done through paid for widget/ programme?
Greg Narayan (2 years ago)
+Barney's Biscuit Boxes yeah should work. you can add multiple attributes then link them in the product editor. i'll try to work this into how to create an ecommerce website in wordpress 2016 video...

Nice! One more question: I changed the order from size 5-7-9-10-12-14 in the variations menu but on my website the order appears to be random (10-12-14-5-7-9). How can I change this?
Thousandfold Lotus (10 months ago)
I am as well, any solutions?
Rejina Price (11 months ago)
I'm also having this issue with my shop. Did you ever find a solution?
ivopetrusa (2 years ago)
Hi Greg, unfortunately it did not work. I dragged the variations, but the order remains the same (10-12-14-5-7-9). It seems that the 1 makes it go in first place. Regardless how high the number is. I also tried changing the 'variation menu order' by clicking on the dragging option and changing the number. Any other advices?
Greg Narayan (2 years ago)
Try drag dropping the variations in product editor
