Absolutely a clear and concise explanation of everything one needs to know to get started, and an excellent "brush-up" if you haven't used Excel for awhile. Your delivery, articulation and presentation was exceptional. Great teacher. Thank you so very much!!!

+MrSinister718 Unless you've never been introduced to it before. A newbie can stumble around and grind out an inferior sheet but this teaches some slightly finer techniques. (and, get over yourself. Nonproductive comments don't enhance your image)

Well how would you know any of this stuff if you have never used Excel before, and not had any training on it? Pretty "retarded" comment right there MrSinister718.

hey neat tutorial. curious. why not just call the "tabs" as "ribbons" I dont understand the need for a distinction. of course, in dev there's probably reasons... but at UI level... why noy just "click the home ribbon" ??

I am an Excel "hack" . I have not had any formal training. I just poke around and try to figure things out. When i saw this video, it caught my attention as "Basic". I know its always good to go back to the basics.. And I am very glad I watched this video. Although I knew 80% of what was in the video, the 20% I learned will be a great time saver. Thank you. I am looking forward to watching your next leaning video on Excel.

You have done such an excellent job! I subscribed to your channel. As others have mentioned your delivery and articulation are very clear. I will also be recommending your channel to others. I, unfortunately, paid for an Excel course that wasn't even close to being as good as yours. Thank you!
Thank you Janis for your kind comments!

I'm trying to do a practice sheet but I am having an issue right off the bat. I typed in a title and when I moved down to start naming rows, the text disappears. If I do *anything* outside of the row where I am typing, it disappears. It isn't deleted, it just goes away until I click the window at the top where it records your last entry.
Ann Fraley (7 days ago)
Another thing I picked up that I don't think he mentioned. I have my title centered in a merged row of cells. Now, if I click the name of the column, in order to specify that I want all the text in that column to be centered, it doesn't understand, since the top row is now merged. So, it works if you click the "center" button in the format ribbon and then click it again. Not like double clicking - two separate clicks of the button. You will see it left justify the text and then when you click it the second time, it will then center it.
Ann Fraley (7 days ago)
Found out what I was doing wrong. I only have four columns in my sheet. Well, in using the 'merge and center' button, I didn't specify a range. I allowed it to consider the entirety of the columns in a sheet, so it was centered somewhere out there in infinity.

This is a misogynist and racist computer "program" designed to attack against women and black people. White men try to prove that they are better with this propaganda in fact women and black people CAN CALCULATE JUST AS WELL so remove this anti-feminist racist video AT ONCE and your silly ply "program" will be banned soon as well.

i have row with numbers 1,0,1,1,1,0,1,0,0,1,1,1,1 who is even longer if i look in history. is there any whey in excel what can help me find next number according of previous data, maybe there is some macro who can read history data and when it ends continue independently to make numbers according of previous data. Or you know better whey how i can get solution of this problem. hope you can help me. Thank you for your other videos they are really useful.
Frank Moyer (14 days ago)
Thats awesome however, how would I go about moving the numbers on the far left 1,2,3,4 etc to move down so they line up properly. In your case line up number 1 with the first data line, in your case, Star Wars 2 Empire Strikes Back etc

Please help! My email is [email protected] I need my list to calculate the “totals” at the bottom after I sort it by “Location” or “order type”   Currently, If I sort it by “location” it is calculating the entire document, rather than just for that location.
